Anyone know the story behind this? DNR: Isanti County man must pay for truck-mud mess A landowner let modified trucks with giant tires chew up his 9-acre property near Isanti, and the DNR said he must pay to restore damaged wetlands. He also could face fines and jail.

Chris Baker on KTLK FM this morning and now Joe on Garage Logic are both talking about it. One of the guys at the event called Garage Logic just about 10 minutes ago and talked about it. I think the guy that runs Mud & More just called in too. You know what the story is; not sure why you are asking. What blood are you after anyway?

The question of the hour, was it wetland?
If Yes, he was mud'n illegally. We
can’t support someone who breaks the laws.
If No, he’ll have to fight it in court.
Either way I’d guess there will be no mudding at his land for a long time.

Me? I don't know anything, I'm the biggest mushroom in the patch (always in the dark and fed nothing but BS). Was just wondering if any clubs knew about it. And I'm sure as hell not after any blood, but the people who don't like off-roaders definitely will be. Hence, the subject line. Yeah, if it was truly wetlands he's gonna be in a big hassle for sure. Private land is a thing of the past. What he should have said was that the place was loaded with buckthorn and him and all his buddies were rooting it out!

Potshot: I don't think anyone here, at this time, knows more about it than what's been stated in that article. Even the guy that called in to Garage Logic, who was there at the mudder truck'n, didn't say anything more about it.

Looks like I'm effectively surrounded by type 2 & 3. Can't do a damn thing with it but I know they won't be building any zero lot line housing projects next to me in this lifetime.

My property extends into a marsh/swamp/wetland/mosquito hatchery. I'm taxed for land I can't legally utilize.

Do you ever get to see the same groovy helicopter airshow out at your place that I have here when they drop the pellets for the mosquitos? Wonder if I'll get cancer from that stuff...

Yeah, they put on a show here annually. In fact, I saw 'em loading up the chopper in the park near Oak Grove fire station #2 on Tuesday when I was returning from Dresser.
Don't know about cancer, but I think the frogs thrive on the stuff.
