What do you do when MN claims a Bronco, make Broncenstein.

Originally the truck was a 1985 Bronco with a 300, C6, TTB44, NP208 & 8.8" with 3.55's and LS.

1st Step help MN finish remove the rest of the body.

With the old body removed I looked through my parts trucks and decided the tired 300 needed to be replaced. So out went the 300 and C6, and in its place a 460 with a 4spd was installed.

Custom rear body mounts were installed to mount the cab from the same donor truck the 460 came from.

Below is a pic of one of the first times the truck was taken out.

The truck was beat on for several year in the snow and woods at the farm and worked well. The decision was made to try and take the Broncenstein to Dresser for Go 4 It one year so new tow hooks, brake lines and other parts were made. Unfortunately the motor died just before the event.

The next summer a donor truck with a 300EFI was acquired. The 460 was removed and the 300EFI was installed with the 4spd from the 460.
After trying to figure out the wiring without much success, the donor cab from the EFI truck was also installed.

The truck was then took to Apple Valley Farms in July 2009 for its initial testing with the motor. The truck worked great except for a leaky radiator.

Since then the truck has been to Dresser, Gilbert and in the woods at the farm. Also letting others drive the truck has taken its abuse. The body has been modified a little, but the 300EFI runs great and has been the biggest improvement to the truck so far.

As the truck currently sits, it needs either a new clutch or a swap to a C6 again.
Other possibilities include upgrading to a TTB50 & 10.25 from another parts truck to keep this one cheap.
Currently Clifford is taking Top priority over Broncenstein.
